IRONMAN 140.6 includes a 2.4 mile open water swim, 112 mile bike ride, followed by a full marathon of 26.2 mile run. raced in this order without breaks. Each race segment has a cut-off time, for the safety of the athlete. The overall race needs to be completed within 17 hours. This sport is considdered to be the world's most challenging single day endurance multi-sport for it brings out the best in each athlete that finishes the race.

Every 140.6 miles IRONMAN race is unique, unpredictable that brings many challanging veriables.
